Try using a tea tree oil based shampoo. Also the night before you are going to shampoo her hair rub baby oil into her scalp and put a towel over her pillow and let that soak into her scalp overnight and then shampoo her hair in the morning. You also need to be sure she isn't washing her hair too often as this can also be very drying.
