I just got my hair straightened chemically. I used to have to use a dandruff shampoo. I know that people who have their hair straightened need to be extra cautious. So can I still use a dandruff shampoo along with a good conditioner? If not what other options are there to treat dandruff for hair that has undergone chemical straightening? Can I use a dandruff shampoo on chemically straightened hair?
Yes. But why don't you work on the root causes of your dandruff? Drink more water. Use a mild shampoo with a couple of drops of tea tree oil mixed in and then a rinse of 50% water and 50% apple cider vinegar, then condition and add a drop or two of lemon-lavander oil. Or once a week mix a tablespoon of baking soda into your shampoo, lather well and rinse thoroughly. Follow with the apple cider vinegar and a conditioner.
