What, besides dandruff shampoo, helps prevent dandruff?

I'm looking for some alternatives to dandruff shampoo. Does anybody have any recommendations. Thanks. What, besides dandruff shampoo, helps prevent dandruff?
wash your hair with conditioner only..scrubbing as if it were shampoo...preferably conditioner without sulfer as an ingredient. Shampoo....even dandruff shampoo....leaves your hair extremely dry. Conditioner has enough cleansing agents to clean you hair, without stripping it of its natural oils. If you find it feels too 'greasy' after a few days, then some people also try washing with a mild shampoo @ once every 4-5 days....good luck! What, besides dandruff shampoo, helps prevent dandruff?
