I found Head and Shoulders made my hair worse, I used Dove shampoo which isn't specifically for dandruff and found my hair feeling healthier and less flakey.





It's fine to combine dandruff shampoo and regular conditioner, another way I found that helps combat dandruff is only to apply conditioner to the ends.
You can use regular conditioner. The conditioner is for the ends of your hair, not your scalp.
